IRGC dismantles western-led terror group, thwarts terrorist attack

Iranian sources reported on Sunday that the IRGC dismantled a terrorist band in the southwestern province of Khuzestan in Iran.
According to MEHR news, the IRGC found that the terror group was backed by an EU country.
The IRGC managed to contain the group before it carried out its operation.
Official sources revealed that the terrorists confessed to planning on carrying out a series of assassinations targeting a number of high-profile figures, as well as triggering massive riots similar to those that occurred in the cities of Zahedan and Ardabil.
In related news, Tasnim news agency reported on the same day that a terrorist team attacked a military base in the city of Mahshahr, Khuzestan, at 2:25 am local time.
The IRGC managed to kill one of the terrorists while they were fleeing on a motorcycle, while the other remains at large, according to the report.
Security and intelligence forces are underway to identify and arrest the second assailant.
In the same context, IRGC intelligence in Iran announced the arrest of 3 MKO terrorist cells in the riots before they carried out any acts in Khuzestan, Isfahan, and Fars.
The intelligence said that the terrorist units plan to recruit rioters, attack government and security centers, destroy property, and attempt to kill citizens.

Iran has recently been facing a surge of foreign agents commissioned to stir disruption in the country, as well as a surge in terrorists targeting civilians.
On October 26, an armed terrorist entered the Shah-e-Cherag shrine in Shiraz at approximately 5:45 pm local time (14:15 GMT), a little before evening prayers, and opened fire, killing 15 pilgrims, including women and children in cold blood, and leaving at least 40 others wounded.
ISIS, which is an invention of Western imperialism, claimed responsibility for the attack.
