On Tuesday, an explosion in a bus within Syria's Homs province resulted in the death of nine soldiers and left over 20 others injured, according to information from a security source reported by Sputnik.

"Nine Syrian soldiers, including two officers, were killed and 22 more were injured when a bomb exploded on a bus in the east of the Homs province," the source said, adding that the bomb was planted by the Islamic State (ISIS) militants.
