On Tuesday, an explosion in a bus within Syria's Homs province resulted in the death of nine soldiers and left over 20 others injured, according to information from a security source reported by Sputnik.

"Nine Syrian soldiers, including two officers, were killed and 22 more were injured when a bomb exploded on a bus in the east of the Homs province," the source said, adding that the bomb was planted by the Islamic State (ISIS) militants.

Lately, terrorist operations across the Arab region have been on the rise amid apparent setbacks suffered by the US and "Israel" in thwarting resistance groups.

While "Israel" failed to achieve its goals in Gaza, the US has been experiencing a surge of attacks on the part of resistance groups in both Yemen and Syria due to the US sponsorship of the Gaza genocide.

Last week, following a terrorist attack that claimed the lives of nearly a hundred people in the city of Kerman in Iran, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi said that the killing of innocent civilians was a response to the slap the terrorists had received from the Axis of Resistance.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi and Syrian armies continue their operations of targeting ISIS hideouts, the latest being the targeting of three hideouts in the Diyala operations sector by Iraqi forces.
