Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes launched two airstrikes on the north of the Gaza Strip and the southeast of Gaza City, stressing that explosions are currently heard in Gaza.

The Israeli aggression further pushes the region closer toward a wider confrontation following three days of provocative raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds, assaulting Palestinians who are stationed there as part of the religious practice of Itikaf, which is one of the acts of worship during the holy month of Ramadan.

In further detail, the occupation warplanes launched a series of raids on various sites in the Gaza Strip, targeting a site for the Palestinian Resistance in the south of Gaza City and an observatory in the east of the city.

The occupation planes also bombed the sites "Salah Al-Din" and others, as well as agricultural land in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza, while they bombed a Resistance site in the city of Beit Hanoun in the northern Gaza Strip.

local sources in Gaza affirmed to Al Mayadeen that all the sites that were targeted by the Israeli aggression are empty or have been evacuated.

Meanwhile, exclusive sources told Al Mayadeen that the Resistance in Gaza has informed the mediators that any massive aggression against the Strip will be met with an unprecedented response.

Earlier, Israeli media announced the start of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, claiming that the Israeli army is launching airstrikes on Resistance targets in Gaza.

Reports also confirmed that anti-aircraft missiles were launched at Israeli aircraft over the Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation army spokesperson announced that incoming rocket sirens sounded in the settlements within the Gaza envelope. Meanwhile, Palestinian sources confirmed that the Palestinian Resistance fired a barrage of rockets toward the occupied Palestinian territories.

Al Mayadeen correspondent affirmed that the Palestinian Resistance factions were on maximum alert to confront any Israeli aggression.

Concurrently, the military wing of the Hamas movement Al-Qassam Brigades affirmed that Palestinian anti-aircraft missiles were launched at Israeli aircraft over the Gaza Strip.

Al Mayadeen correspondent further reported that shelters were opened in occupied Al-Quds, Asdod, and “Yavne”.

Israeli media reported that sirens were heard in the settlements of “Sderot”, “Nir Am”, and “Ibim”.

Palestinian Resistance ready to respond with full force to any Israeli aggression

The Joint Room of the Palestinian Resistance factions confirmed its readiness to respond to any aggression that the Israeli occupation would carry out against Gaza.

"We affirm the readiness of the resistance to confront and respond with all force to any aggression, and to defend our people in all their places of existence," the Joint Room underlined in a statement, in light of the Israeli occupation's threats against the Resistance and the people in the Gaza Strip.

The Resistance factions warned the Israeli occupation against attacking the Palestinian people, calling on "the criminal enemy to stop its savage aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque" and the worshipers stationed inside it and to "stop the farce of exporting its internal crises towards our people and our sanctities."

Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation military claimed that 34 rockets were launched on Thursday from southern Lebanon on occupied Al-Jalil.

The occupation said the Iron Dome air security system intercepted 25 of the projectiles, adding that at least five rockets landed in occupied Palestinian lands.

It claimed that the locations of the remaining four rockets are still unknown.

Israeli media reported that the rockets caused two minor injuries and some damage.
