'Israel' does not want war with Hezbollah: Israeli Media
After Hezbollah targeted 3 Israeli occupation sites in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms area earlier this morning, Israeli media confirmed that any conflict in the northern region will be more intense and difficult to contain than what has been witnessed from Gaza.
Israeli media reported on Sunday that conflict with Lebanon will not resemble conflict in the southern region, stressing that “Israel” does not want a battle in the north.
Channel 12 Military affairs commentator Nir Dvori said “No one can say where things are headed in the north, so there are very high preparations there,” adding that “some of the forces that were recruited during the last 24 hours have gone up to the north.”
Moreover, Dvori noted "It must be said that the border with Lebanon is not like the border in the south. Its situation is worse, at least in a large part of the places," stressing that "Therefore, this matter put Israel in another place in terms of protecting the settlements, and it is not in vain that many forces were summoned there."
The Islamic Resistance in #Lebanon has announced that a large number of artillery shells and guided rockets were used, and the sites were directly hit.

Dvori also underscored that "Israel does not want a battle in the north," noting that "at the present time, no front or additional arena has been opened, and the drone (which the Patriots intercepted) is an important point, because there may be someone who tried to challenge and try to examine the readiness of the Israeli army now."
The Israeli commentator then added “Therefore, if we think about the Shebaa Farms, it is an event that has been absorbed, but this (drone) came to indicate something else. In the Israeli army, they cannot say that our direction there is towards war (in the north).”
Hezbollah targets 3 Israeli military sites in occupied Shebaa Farms
The Lebanese Resistance Party, Hezbollah, has claimed responsibility for the simultaneous targeting of three Israeli military sites located in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.
"On the path of liberating what is left of our occupied Lebanese land and in solidarity with the triumphant Palestinian Resistance and the [persevering] and patient Palestinian people... groups of martyr leader Hajj Imad Mughniyeh, this Sunday morning, corresponding to 8 October 2023, attacked three occupation sites in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms," the Resistance party said in a statement.
The sites were targeted with large barrages of mortar shells as well as guided missiles, and they are: ar-Radar, Zebdine, and Ruwaisat al-Alam.
Israeli death toll nearing 1,000: Israeli media
Israeli media reported on Sunday that the number of Israeli deaths has risen to 600 and the wounded to 2,000, 350 of whom are in a serious, hopeless condition.
The Israeli media also announced that among those killed is the head of the elite Israeli Multidimensional unit, also known as the Ghost unit, Colonel Roi Levy.
The media also suggested that the death toll is nearing 1,000, pointing out that there are still quite a few settlers missing in addition to an unestimated number of settlers who were transferred to the Gaza Strip.
CNN reported that 44 Israeli occupation soldiers and 30 security officials have been identified among the killed.
