'Israel' miscalculated in Gaza: Sayyed Nasrallah
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah touches on the latest Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, underlining that the resistance is more capable than ever.
The latest developments in the Gaza Strip are flagrant Israeli aggression and a direct crime, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Saturday.
"We condemn anyone remaining silent regarding the crime in Gaza," Sayyed Nasrallah said. "The resistance has the right to respond to this aggression however it sees fit."
Standing idle regarding the Israeli aggression, he said, "will push the enemy to carry out more assassinations against the leaders [...] We, in Hezbollah, are closely following everything happening in Gaza, and we are in contact with the leaders of Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the resistance in Gaza."
The Lebanese resistance leader warned the Israeli occupation against making a miscalculation in Lebanon "as it did in Gaza," addressing "Tel Aviv" by saying that "time will tell, and you know that the resistance is stronger than ever."
The Palestinian resistance on Friday started responding to the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip by launching salvoes of rockets toward the occupied Palestinian territories.
The launching of rockets toward the Israeli occupation came in retaliation after Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that explosions were heard in the Gaza Strip, occupied Palestine. The Israeli occupation had launched a shelling campaign that targeted the Palestine Tower in the center of Gaza city.
The Israeli aggression left several martyrs, including a 5-year-old girl, and at least 125 critically wounded, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported, citing Palestinian medical sources.
Al-Quds Brigades, PIJ's military wing, announced the martyrdom of Taiseer Al-Jaabari, a military commander in the northern Gaza Strip.
The latest tally stands at around 24 martyred and 203 wounded due to the Israeli occupation's criminality.
Resistance proved the mortality of occupation
"Certain regimes seek to convince us that Israel is a dove of peace, but its whole existence is based on massacres and crimes," the Hezbollah chief said.
"How's the economic situation in the countries that normalized ties with Israel? What did the arrangement offer Egypt and Jordan in terms of economic gains?" he asked.
"The enemy is working on highlighting the weak points of the peoples opposing ["Israel"] and then inflating [these weak points], which leads to despair and frustration," he explained. "Some of the conventional warfare ["Israel"] wages serve as psychological warfare through destruction."
The resistance in Lebanon and occupied Palestine, Sayyed Nasrallah underlined, "proved that the occupation's army can be defeated and humiliated. Its image can be broken."
History has shown that the United States can be defeated politically and through conventional warfare, "which happened in Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, Somalia, Venezuela, and Cuba," the resistance leader stressed.
"We must work on showing our strengths and exposing the enemy's weak points and utilizing them in confrontations," he said. "The enemy is trying to spread rumors and accusations to try and sway public opinion as well as influence the course of battles."
