"Israel" to vote against Russia at UNGA
The occupation is treading, perhaps, not so carefully.
According to Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid, the occupation will vote in favor of condemning the Russian "invasion" of Ukraine at the United Nations General Assembly.
The UNGA called for a rare emergency session which will be held today, Monday, in New York.
“Israel was and will be on the right side of history,” Lapid said. “These are our values. Our alliance is with the US.”
Simultaneously, Lapid said that “even our American allies realize we have to be careful [because] Russia is the significant military force in Syria,” and that coordination with Russia “helps in our determined struggle against Iranian entrenchment."

He added, "Israel" is carefully studying the importance of sanctions against Russia, and the Israelis have set up a team that will examine the consequences of the sanctions on "Israel" and its economy.
The Israeli foreign minister said that the UNGA resolution against Russia will be joined by "Israel," and that it will be a part of the efforts to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
This statement comes after "Israel" ignored the US request to sign a resolution to condemn Russia on Friday, which failed.
A Ukrainian diplomat said that Kiev was surprised that Israel did not sign last week's resolution, which was supposedly planned.
Last week, after “Israel's” official statement of support for Ukraine in the ongoing crisis where Lapid said that “the Russian attack on Ukraine is a serious violation of the international order, Russia's UN envoy voiced concern over “Israel's” expansion in the occupied Golan Heights, saying that Russia doesn't recognize “Israel's” sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights that are part of Syria.
"Israel" enjoys strong relations with all parties in the conflict, and believes that merging its position with the US against Russia will have repercussions on its behavior in Syria, and will harm its interests in Syria. There are commercial projects between the two, ranging between two to three billion dollars a year.
Contrary to Bennett and Lapid's claim that the US understands "Israel's" position, high-ranking Israeli officials told the Israeli Walla! website that after Russia vetoed the resolution, the US ambassador conveyed a message to the Israeli ambassador, Gilad Erdan, in which he stated that the Biden administration was disappointed with the Israeli behavior.
Monday's emergency session in New York is the 11th of its kind in UN history.
