According to Gaza hospitals, the Israeli occupation’s assaults on the Strip have claimed 13 lives since the early hours of the morning.

Occupation warplanes bombed al-Farabi School, which was sheltering displaced families near al-Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City, killing 8 civilians and injuring several others.

Israeli warplanes also struck a displaced persons’ tent near the Legislative Council in al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, killing two children and wounding several others.

Additionally, the occupation’s army detonated a booby-trapped robot in the vicinity of Sheikh Radwan pool, simultaneously with Israeli artillery shelling in the same area and gunfire from military vehicles.

An Israeli quadcopter drone opened fire east of Gaza City, while warplanes carried out another airstrike on al-Shujaiya neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.

Escalation continues

Just a day earlier, on Saturday, at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip, including 15 people in aid massacres. The attacks, which heavily targeted Gaza City, also struck residential areas in Sheikh Radwan, Zaytoun, and Khan Younis, leaving dozens killed or wounded.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense in Gaza warned that the crisis of displacement is worsening as Israeli forces target residential towers, including the destruction of al-Sousi Tower in Gaza’s industrial area. Officials cautioned that the ongoing bombardment of vital infrastructure threatens to paralyze the entire service system in Gaza.

Gaza death toll surpasses 64,000

On Saturday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health announced that the overall death toll from the Israeli aggression had risen to 64,368 martyrs and 162,367 wounded since October 7, 2023.

The ministry also reported that 2,385 Palestinians have been killed while seeking aid, with more than 17,577 others injured. As of yesterday, 382 people died from starvation and malnutrition, including 135 children.

Save the Children has warned that at least one Palestinian child has been killed every hour on average over nearly 23 months of war, with the number of children killed surpassing 20,000, a figure described as one of the most appalling milestones in the ongoing genocide.
