A senior member of the Lebanese resistance of Hezbollah expressed that the Israeli air strike today represents a "new escalation."
MP Hassan Fadlallah, a Member of Hezbollah's Loyalty to the Resistance parliamentary bloc told Reuters in a statement that the escalation with the Israeli occupation would not deter the resistance from "continuing to defend its country and supporting Gaza."
Fadlallah explained that the new response from Hezbollah would be in the type of weapons used as well as the sites it will target.
Senior Hezbollah official Sheikh Ali Damoush declared on Sunday that Hezbollah would "exhaust the enemy, and will not stop unless the aggression against Gaza and Lebanon stops".
Hezbollah confirmed on Thursday evening that its Resistance fighters targeted with guided missiles and killed two IOF members while they were installing surveillance devices at the Israeli al-Raheb site near the southern Lebanese village of Aita al-Shaab, at the border with occupied Palestine.
On Saturday, Fadlallah told Al Mayadeen that "Israel does not have the upper hand on the battlefield," confirming that "the victory of Gaza will be for the entire nation."
"The battlefield is what controls the overall course of this confrontation," he said.
He affirmed that "Israel" is not in a position to impose conditions on Lebanon, adding that it is committing murder in Gaza, yet it lacks the ability to dictate its terms there too.
"We do not receive threats or instructions, as the Resistance is in control of the initiative and dictates the situation on the ground," he added.
Our correspondent pointed out that the Resistance fighters are maintaining their pace deterring Israeli aggression against Lebanon.
