Israeli airlines to halt flights to UAE
The Aviation Security Division and the GSS halted flights to the UAE for security reasons. The number of daily flights will be reduced and hundreds of paid flights would be canceled.
Israeli Airlines announced today that hundreds of scheduled flights from "Israel" to the UAE will be canceled, starting this coming Sunday.
According to a decision by the Aviation Security Division and the GSS, the number of daily flights to Dubai will be reduced to three.
The CEOs of the three Israeli airlines, "El Al", "Arkia", and "Israir", addressed an urgent letter to the Minister of Transport and offered security solutions to allow companies to meet the planned flight schedule, as well as direct flights from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and other destinations.
According to the CEOs, "any other situation will lead to the cancellation of tens of thousands of airline tickets for Israeli passengers who have purchased tickets and may find themselves without a solution."
UAE suspends flying civilian drones
Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Interior announced Saturday suspending "all flying operations for owners, practitioners, and enthusiasts of drones, including drones and light sports aircraft" due to "safety" related reasons.
The Emirati announcement comes after the Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson, Yahya Saree, called on foreign companies in the UAE to leave the country.
Saree's statement came after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced carrying out "a qualitative military operation, Operation Yemen Hurricane, in response to the escalation of aggression against the country."
