Israeli warplanes launched yet another strike on Syrian soil Wednesday, targeting a military facility in the Shanshar area of Homs province, in what Syrian officials and observers have condemned as a continuation of the Zionist entity’s aggressive policy toward Syria and its sovereignty.

Local media reported a powerful explosion near the 64th Brigade in the southern countryside of Homs, close to the targeted site. The blast triggered the rapid deployment of Syrian defense forces, though no confirmed details have yet been released regarding casualties or the extent of material losses.

The assault coincided with a broader campaign of coordinated Israeli incursions across southern Syria. Earlier that same day, Israeli occupation forces carried out a ground raid in the Quneitra countryside, advancing toward the village of al-Halabi. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israeli troops established a temporary checkpoint on the village’s main road and deployed forces around a former Syrian military installation, further entrenching their presence in blatant defiance of international law.

These actions are part of an escalating pattern of Israeli expansionism and calculated provocation, not only along the Golan front but deep into Syria’s interior. In recent weeks, Israeli forces have repeatedly entered multiple villages in Quneitra, destroyed infrastructure, set fire to agricultural land, and seized thousands of hectares, tactics widely viewed as efforts to destabilize the region and force demographic changes.

Despite the presence of international observers and Syria’s calls for accountability, the Israeli regime continues to act with impunity, shielded by Western backing and unchecked by global institutions. These latest violations highlight the urgency of resisting Israeli expansionism and defending the sovereignty of Syria and the broader region against ongoing aggression.
