Israeli airstrikes on Hodeidah port, airport, power stations
Local sources told Al Mayadeen that more than 10 airstrikes targeted Hodeidah port, causing explosions that shook the city.
Israeli airstrikes struck oil tanks at Ras Isa Port in Yemen, with additional strikes on Hodeidah Port on the Red Sea, west of Yeme, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Sunday.
Local sources told Al Mayadeen that more than 10 airstrikes targeted Hodeidah port, causing explosions that shook the city.
Our correspondent explained that the Israeli aggression in western Yemen targeted the al-Hali power generation station in the coastal city of Hodeidah.
Israeli strikes also targeted the Hodeidah International Airport, according to local sources.
The spokesperson for the Sanaa-based Yemeni Ministry of Health told Al Mayadeen that five people were killed and 45 others were injured in the preliminary toll of the Israeli aggression on Hodeidah Governorate.
Fires have ignited in fuel tanks at Hodeidah Port, with thick smoke rising as a result of the airstrikes.
An informed source told Al Mayadeen that a swarm of Israeli aircraft targeted a civilian port and power stations.
Aggression will not force Yemeni operations to cease
The source made it clear that the latest aggression will not force Yemen to end its military operations under any circumstance, underlining that civilian targeting will be met with reciprocality, and "the enemy's society should be aware of this."
The bank of targets of the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) within the enemy's depth is vast and strategic, the source highlighted, expressing the YAF's preparedness for all scenarios.
The US has given the green light to the Israeli enemy, which is in a state of euphoria, and it must bear the consequences of that, the informed source stressed, adding that Washington is a key partner in this aggression, which will not go unanswered and unpunished.
"The Israeli enemy is deliberately targeting civilian interests, which will provoke public reactions against it," the source pointed out, adding that "the US has failed in its aggression against Yemen, and the Zionist enemy will also fail to achieve its objectives."
The informed source told Al Mayadeen that "the Yemeni army knows how to deal with both the Israeli and American enemies alike."
"The Israeli, American, and British enemies fear Yemen and are exploring ways to neutralize its weapons; however, they fail and resort to targeting ports," the source said.
Civil Defense crews are working to extinguish the fires at the al-Hali power in Hodeidah, sources told Al Mayadeen, adding that rescue and emergency teams are working to retrieve victims at the location.
Local sources also reported that civilians were injured due to the Israeli aggression on a power generation station in Hodeidah.
On his part, Mohammad Abdulsalam, head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, condemned the US-backed Israeli aggression on Yemen, affirming that it cannot affect the will of the Yemeni people whatsoever.
He also affirmed that this Israeli aggression only reinforces Yemen's principled stance toward Palestine and Gaza, highlighting that the Yemeni people will not abandon Gaza and Lebanon.
YAF launch attack on Ben Gurion Airport upon Netanyahu's arrival
The aggression comes a day after the YAF's missile force targeted the Israeli Ben Gurion airport in occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv) in parallel with the arrival of Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the location.
In a statement, YAF spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya mentioned that the operation comes in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and in response to the Israeli crimes in Gaza and Lebanon.
Saree confirmed that the latest operation was carried out using a ballistic missile of the Palestine 2 type, just a day after the YAF launched an attack against a military target also in Tel Aviv using the same missile and a vital location in occupied Askalan using the locally-manufactured Yafa drone.
He underlined that the YAF, alongside all the honorable and free people of the nation, will continue to respond to Israeli crimes and will not hesitate to escalate further as necessary to meet the demands of the current phase, contributing to the defense of Gaza and Lebanon.
Elsewhere, the Brigadier General asserted that such operations will not cease until the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon comes to an end.
The announcement came on the same day as Hezbollah released a statement announcing the martyrdom of its Secretary-General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
