Israeli concerns grow on Ukraine crisis
Israeli media warned the occupation’s authorities, fearing the wrath of Russia which is “present on our northern border, with its advanced missile batteries, radars, and powerful GPS jamming.”
Israeli media keep a close eye on the ongoing developments after Russian president Vladimir Putin ruled the authorization of a special military operation in Donbass.
Israeli Channel 13 said that Foreign Israeli Minister Yair Lapid stepped up the Israeli rhetoric against Russia, which was commensurate with the US-EU administrations, calling its military operation in Donbass “a grave violation of the international order.”
The channel’s remarks coincided with the Israeli occupation’s President Isaac Herzog’s statement during which he reiterated “Israel’s” support for “the territorial integrity of Ukraine”.
On his account, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid condemned the "Russian attack on Ukraine, stressing that it is “a serious violation of the international order.”
"Israel is in a very delicate position," the Israeli channel continued, adding that "Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's message will be formulated with great caution, because, after all, we are neighbors to Russia, and it is present on our northern border, with its advanced missile batteries, radars, and powerful GPS jamming."
"In order for the Air Force to continue operating at Damascus International Airport, Israel must be very careful about its pronouncements about this war," Channel 13 reported.
“The challenge to find the right rhetoric is not an easy one. Israel must remain part of the western side, without enraging Russia”, it added.
The Israeli link with what is going on in Ukraine with Syria comes after Russia's UN envoy voiced concern over “Israel's” expansion in the occupied Golan Heights, stressing that Russia doesn't recognize “Israel's” sovereignty over the occupied Golan Heights that are part of Syria.
Besides, Nir Dvori, Israeli Channel 12 security affairs correspondent, said that “Israel” has informed the Baltic countries that it will block the supply of Israeli weapons to Ukraine.
He also noted that the policy the Israeli occupation pursues when it comes to dealing with Russia is delicate.
In the same context, Israeli Channel 12 mentioned on its website that “Israel” is currently considering tightening the tone against Russia after refraining from mentioning Russia in its first official statement on the Ukraine crisis.
It added that the Americans informed “Israel” that showing support for Ukraine was sufficient at first, but now “Israel cannot remain neutral”.
