'Israel': Ukraine crisis pushes attention away from Vienna talks
“Israel” reiterates its support for “the territorial integrity of Ukraine”, yet it is mainly concerned that “the Russia-Ukraine crisis will drive the attention away from the Vienna nuclear talks with Iran.”
Israeli occupation’s President Isaac Herzog reiterated “Israel’s” support for “the territorial integrity of Ukraine” urging Israelis to “return immediately to 'Israel' right now through land crossings.”
Herzog also allegedly offered “all possible humanitarian cooperation” to the government of Ukraine.
On his account, Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid condemned the "Russian attack" on Ukraine, stressing that it is “a serious violation of the international order.”
Lapid highlighted “Israel’s deep, long-lasting and good relations with Russia and Ukraine.”
In an interview for the Israeli Walla website, Lapid said “the [Israeli] assessment is that we don’t see a violent confrontation. I also don’t think a world war is about to start there."
Furthermore, he added that “Israel” is highly concerned that “the Russia-Ukraine crisis will drive the attention away from the Vienna nuclear talks with Iran.”
Israeli Channel 12 News reported that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has ordered government ministers not to publicly comment on the ongoing situation in Ukraine.
On his account, Israeli Deputy Economy Minister Yair Golan told the Kan public radio that “Israel” must condemn the Russian operation in Ukraine, despite “Israeli concern of ruining ties and harming the coordination with Russia when it comes to Syria.”
Simultaneously, Nir Dvori, Israeli Channel 12 security affairs correspondent, said that “Israel” has informed the Baltic countries that it blocks the supply of Israeli weapons to Ukraine.
He also noted that the policy the Israeli occupation pursues when it comes to dealing with Russia is delicate.
In the same context, Israeli Channel 12 mentioned on its website that “Israel” is currently considering tightening the tone against Russia after refraining from mentioning the latter in its first official statement on the Ukraine crisis.
It added that the Americans informed “Israel” that showing support for Ukraine was sufficient at first, but now “Israel cannot remain neutral”.
