Israeli court defers release decision on admin. prisoner Khader Adnan
Ofer prison occupation court postpones, until next Sunday, its decision regarding an appeal case in the face of its refusal to release Palestinian administrative prisoner Sheikh Khader Adnan on bail.
The Israeli Ofer prison occupation court postponed, until next Sunday, an appeal case submitted against its refusal to release Palestinian administrative prisoner Sheikh Khader Adnan on bail according to the Mohjat al-Quds Foundation.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club explained that Adnan's wife had picketed in the courtroom, demanding to see her husband via video screen, as has been the habit in previous hearings.
Prisoner Khader Adnan, who is 44 years old, continues his open hunger strike for the 82nd consecutive day, in protest against his continued arbitrary detention. Adnan currently suffers from extremely difficult health conditions.
Palestinian authorities warn prisoner Khader Adnan is dying
The Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation warned that prisoner Adnan could be martyred from his extremely dire health condition, noting that "he is emaciated, slipping in and out of consciousness, and is dying."
In turn, Adnan's wife, Randa Moussa, confirmed that the occupation is blocking the Red Cross and human rights institutions from visiting to check on his health, noting that there was no information about his condition after he was transferred to a hospital in the occupied territories on Monday.
Adnan continues his open hunger strike for the 80th day in a row. Muhjat Al-Quds considered that "this strike introduced a new chapter of battles for freedom, just as it did when he began his administrative detention in 2012."
The foundation pointed out that "Sheikh Khader is engaged in the longest open, individual hunger strike in the world, and refuses any kind of aid or medical examinations."
It confirmed that what is happening with Adnan is considered a slow execution and systematic killing, warning of his martyrdom.
For her part, Moussa confirmed that the "occupation is attempting to kill Prisoner Adnan, transferring him to a field hospital in order to isolate him [away from supervision].
She indicated in an interview with Al Mayadeen on Tuesday that based on the occupation's accusations against Adnan, his imprisonment should not exceed a few months, but he was sentenced to five years in an attempt to "deport him and break him."

Occupation forces arrested Khader Adnan on February 5, after they raided his house in the town of Arraba, south of Jenin.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner was arrested 12 times, and stayed a total of about 8 years in occupation detention centers, most of which were spent under administrative detention.
