Israeli media: Sudanese General Visited "Israel" prior to the coup
Israeli i24 News site lately reported that Dagalo visited “Israel” several weeks earlier with the Israeli delegation, which met with members of the National Security Council and other officials in the Prime Minister’s Office.
While the sides discussed the political situation in Sudan and the stability of the civilian government during the delegation’s visit, Israeli officials told Walla that the Sudanese gave no indication that they would carry out a coup and depose the civilian-led government later that month.
Israeli media reported that while the majority of the Western world has condemned the coup, “Israel” has been conspicuously silent.
According to media reports, Sudanese military leaders have taken note of the response in “Israel” and believe it constitutes approval of their actions.
The same reports added that "the process of normalization with Sudan in the last two years has been primarily managed by the National Security Authority in the Prime Minister's Office," stressing that "the overwhelming majority of contacts were with Sudanese army commander, General Al-Burhan, and his men who made the coup."
