Similarly, one person was killed when Israeli forces struck the al-Deir area in Houla with two missiles.
Additionally, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that Israeli occupation aircraft conducted multiple airstrikes, hitting areas near Arnoun town while also targeting Mlita, Sejoud, Jabal Safi, and the outskirts of Bouslaiya.
In a related context, an explosive remnant from the Israeli aggression detonated inside a Lebanese Army vehicle on the Qsaiba-Braiqa road in southern Lebanon. Our correspondent confirmed three people have been killed, with the death toll likely to rise.
The latest assault is part of a broader pattern of Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon, with repeated attacks violating the ceasefire agreement.
The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, condemned the ongoing Israeli assaults on Lebanon, particularly in the southern villages.
The movement extended its deepest condolences and sympathy to the Lebanese state—its presidency, government, people, and army—over the martyrdom of three Lebanese army soldiers.
A series of Israeli strikes hit South Lebanon this week
Sunday’s attack is the latest in a string of Israeli strikes targeting southern Lebanon over the past week:
- Friday: An Israeli drone strike hit a vehicle in the Ghazieh area, near the entrance to the city of Saida, resulting in one martyr.
- Wednesday: A motorcycle was targeted in the town of Hanin, leaving one person martyred and another injured. On the same day, a separate strike on a car in Wadi al-Hujayr claimed another life.
- Tuesday: In the town of Aitaroun, an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle, killing one person and injuring three others, including a child.
Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, carrying out attacks not only in the South but also in Bekaa and the southern suburbs of Beirut. In addition to these assaults, "Israel" maintains its occupation of five points in southern Lebanon.
These attacks mark a notable escalation in Israeli aggression, with a rising toll of civilian casualties in Lebanon as a result of repeated airstrikes.
