Israeli forces call up two reserve brigades for 'operational missions'
In recent days, Hezbollah targeted some of "Israel's" most strategic military bases, inflicting major losses on the IOF, leading to calls for backup.
Israeli forces issued a statement on Wednesday announcing the call-up of two reserve brigades to the northern region, where troops are currently engaged in cross-border clashes with Hezbollah, the Lebanese resistance.
"The [Israeli occupation forces] is calling up two reserve brigades for operational missions in the northern arena," the military said in a statement, adding that this would aid in the continuation of combat against Hezbollah.
This comes in light of the heavy setbacks suffered by Israeli forces in their confrontation with the Resistance.
In recent days, Hezbollah has targeted some of "Israel's" most strategic military bases, including the Ilanya base, the Samson base, Meggido base, the Naftali base, Amos base, and Ramat David base.
The Resistance has also targeted key cities in Northern occupied Palestine, including Haifa, and earlier today, Tel Aviv, where the headquarters of Mossad were targeted.

Earlier, the Israeli forces have also announced plans to invade Lebanon.
The White House has previously warned that a regional military escalation would not be in the Israeli regime's "best interest".
On September 20, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that the US will support "defensive" but not "offensive" operations by the Israeli regime.
"We are there in the defense of Israel, should we need to come to their defense. We’re not going in and supporting offensive ground operations in what they do, whether it be in the north or in Gaza," Singh said when asked whether the US would back an Israeli offensive into Lebanon.
