Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in South Lebanon reported that an Israeli occupation Merkava tank fired two shells toward the outskirts of the town of Ramia on Wednesday, marking a new breach of the declared ceasefire in the border region.
In a separate incident, another correspondent confirmed the fall of an Israeli reconnaissance drone in the town of Kfarkela, while a second drone dropped a bomb over the Karkazan neighborhood in Mays al-Jabal, without casualties.
Meanwhile, in Maroun al-Ras, an Israeli drone also dropped an explosive device in an additional violation of Lebanese sovereignty and the ceasefire terms.
The violations extended further as an Israeli military bulldozer carried out excavation and land razing works inside Lebanese territory, between the newly established position east of Houla and the occupation’s al-Abbad site.
Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces stationed on the Ramtha hill fired bursts of machine gun fire toward the outskirts of the Bastra farm and the town of Kfar Chouba, further escalating tensions across the front.
Israeli strikes kill civilians
A Lebanese civilian was martyred on Sunday in a drone strike carried out by the Israeli occupation on the town of Aita al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district, southern Lebanon, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported on Sunday.
Lebanon’s National News Agency said the strike targeted a vehicle inside the town. In a separate incident, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft dropped a bomb near the historic spring in the town of Odaisseh, also in the south.
The latest attack comes as the Israeli occupation continues its violations of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, repeatedly targeting civilian areas and infrastructure.
Escalation follows deadly strikes
Israeli occupation forces renewed their aggression on Lebanon on Saturday with a series of airstrikes, targeting areas in southern and eastern Lebanon, in a continued violation of the ceasefire agreement.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, a series of strikes hit highland areas surrounding the towns of Tarayya and Shmestar in the Bekaa region, eastern Lebanon.
In the south, Al Mayadeen's correspondent stated that Israeli warplanes carried out raids on the Jabal al-Rafee area, the outskirts of the town of Sojod, and the al-Naqra valley near the town of Kfar Hamam.
