The Israeli occupation's mass slaughter in Gaza continues to raise the death toll to astronomical numbers, with the overwhelming majority of victims being innocent children and defenseless women.
In the past 24 hours alone, 83 martyrs and 216 injured Palestinians were transported to Gaza's hospitals. The total death toll since October 7, 2023, has risen to 65,427 martyrs and 167,376 injuries with this latest wave of casualties.
Since the collapse of the ceasefire on March 18, 2025, 12,939 Palestinians have been killed and 55,335 others injured in Israeli attacks.
It is worth noting that countless victims are buried beneath the rubble of buildings bombed over the heads of civilians, and bodies remain scattered on the streets as Israeli bombardment prevents civil defense crews and rescue teams from reaching their locations.
Israeli occupation forces also continue massacres at aid sites. Seven Palestinians were murdered and at least 50 others have been injured in Israeli fire along humanitarian aid centers, raising the total aid-related death toll to 2,538 martyrs and more than 18,581 injuries.
Massacre in al-Zawaida
In this context, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported a massacre in the central Gaza town of al-Zawaida, where Israeli warplanes bombed the home of the Abu Dahrouj family, which was sheltering displaced civilians. The strike left 11 martyrs, dozens injured, and several missing under the rubble.
Nearby, in Nuseirat’s Camp 2, several residents were wounded in another airstrike.
Bombardment of Gaza City
In northern Gaza, massive explosions rocked Gaza City as occupation forces destroyed homes in the al-Sabra and al-Zaytoun neighborhoods.
At least two people were martyred and others injured when Israeli occupation troops targeted civilians waiting for aid near Wadi Gaza Bridge, south of the city. Additional injuries were reported after the bombing of a house in the al-Tuffah neighborhood.
Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat later confirmed it had received 13 martyrs, including three children and four women, along with 48 injuries, from strikes on central camps and attacks on gatherings south of Wadi Gaza.
In Khan Younis, at least four Palestinians were killed in airstrikes on the city’s refugee camp. Farmers were also injured by occupation gunfire south of the city.
One man was martyred in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Younis, after being targeted by an Israeli drone. Meanwhile, residential buildings northeast of Khan Younis were demolished by occupation forces, leaving more families homeless.
