Israeli media: EU fears hamper US Red Sea coalition
The Israeli website Globes has reported that US allies are reluctant to join US forces in Operation Prosperity Guardian for fear of being associated with "Israel."
According to a report by the Israeli Globes site, European nations are hesitant to join the US-led Prosperity Guardian coalition, in part because they do not want to be regarded as siding with "Israel" in Gaza.
Two weeks have passed since the Pentagon announced the launching of Operation Prosperity Guardian, which will include contributions from 20 nations. However, it continues to be haunted by the reluctant participation of its members and uncertainty behind the operation's objectives.
Many countries have agreed to send only a limited number of personnel. This poses a specific challenge, especially as Spain, Italy, and France have rejected the US request for their ships to be under US Navy command during their deployment in the operation.
As of yet, no nation with a significant Red Sea coastline has joined the alliance, even though rules for guaranteeing freedom of passage that include them already exist.
The report details that what should be most worrying to the Israeli occupation should be the fact that this indicates many allies are unwilling to side with "Israel's" war on Gaza.
No European politician has openly stated this, but political observers in Europe believe that the war on Gaza is a crucial factor in the decision on whether or not to join the maritime alliance.
The author calls this "feeble response" a clear indication of how far Europe will not go to "stand by 'Israel' in its hour of need." This means it will condemn Palestinian resistance and push for aid to Gaza in addition to refrain from calling for a ceasefire, but will not be involved in any military force affiliated with "Israel."
EU gave "Israel" the cold shoulder
The report makes many excuses for why this European response is so, like parliaments being on vacation towards the end of the year and many EU nations having small navies, but cannot escape what it calls the "cold shoulder" given to "Israel" by European nations, which signifies they are terrified of being on the side of "Israel" and that the alliance is at its core weak.
The author further speculates that failed operations in Afghanistan and Libya could be scaring European countries into engaging in any military effort where the success rate is unclear.
The "resounding message" that is apparent to the whole world is that the "US is pretty much on its own" despite the crucial trade route to Europe.
According to the analysis, the US' role in the new Western axis, which is intended to supplant its role as the world's policeman, is in danger. From the Israeli perspective, it has once again been proved that its most loyal friend is Washington, and maybe Britain, but the list stops there for the time being.
Meanwhile, strikes against Israeli-backed ships are ongoing in the Red Sea, with the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) striking an Israeli-linked ship on Wednesday.
In a broadcasted speech on Wednesday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, announced the attack and explained: “In support of the oppression faced by the Palestinian people under invasion and siege, the Yemeni naval forces targetted the ship 'CMA CGM TAGE,' which was heading towards the occupied ports of Palestine."
Previously, Saree said, "We caution all nations against getting involved or cooperating with the United States in protecting the Zionist enemy's ships."
The YAF operations come in line with the nation's unwavering support for the Palestinian people, who are experiencing a blatant US-backed and Israeli-executed genocide. Yemen took a remarkable initiative despite a 9-year-long war on its territories, which has seen thousands killed and millions living under cruel circumstances, due to a Saudi-US imposed siege.
