Israeli media: Netanyahu has long become a burden on 'Israel'
Israeli media outlets confirm that "Israel" does not expect any victory in Rafah because Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "paralyzed with terror" and unable to make a single important decision.
"Israel" does not expect any victory in Rafah because the head of the occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu, is "paralyzed with terror" and unable to make a single important decision, as reported by Israeli media.
In an article published by Maariv, Israeli political writer Ben Caspit points out that "Netanyahu has long become a burden on Israel," stressing that "he must vacate his position."
Caspit pointed out that "this is what the British did to Neville Chamberlain (former British Prime Minister) in the middle of World War II," adding that "they did so, because there was no choice. They didn't do it because they liked Churchill. They did it because Chamberlain failed, dragged Britain from one disgrace to another, and built a bankrupt concept."
According to Caspit, "The only thing that could drive Netanyahu crazy and enter Rafah in full force now is the arrest warrants that the International Criminal Court in The Hague is threatening to issue against him."
Netanyahu threatens Biden
Citing two sources, one of which is not Israeli, he emphasized that Netanyahu threatened US President Joe Biden in their phone conversation that if the US did not prevent these arrest warrants, he would stop negotiating a deal and launch his attack on Rafah with or without a million refugees there.
"The only way to make Netanyahu lose his fear and carry out his threats is through his personal fate," the Israeli writer added, explaining that "according to people around him, he now spends about 70 percent of his time and 80 percent of his energy on arrest warrants."
"This case is not trivial, like Israel's security," he mockingly continued.
According to Caspit, the arrest warrants are Netanyahu's "personal fate," adding, "The man, who had changed his name to Ben Nitai, cannot imagine life without the delightful trips abroad, at the expense of the state or some benefactor. He will fight for his personal freedom until he sheds blood."
'Israel' warns US it will punish PA if ICC issues arrest warrants
Axios reported on Wednesday that the Israeli government has told the Biden administration that if the International Criminal Court (ICC) issues arrest warrants against Israeli leaders, it would retaliate against the Palestinian Authority, perhaps leading to its collapse, according to two Israeli and US sources.
Israeli authorities have become more anxious in recent weeks since reportedly the names of Netanyahu, Security Minister Yoav Gallant, and Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi have been circled as suspects of war crimes that the ICC will look to prosecute.
The ICC has been looking into war crimes committed back in 2014 in the Gaza Strip, however, it has produced no punitive decisions against individuals. The inquiry has been expanded to include the events of October 7, as well as the current war on Gaza.
Over the last several weeks, "Israel" has informed the US that it has intelligence indicating that Palestinian Authority officials are pressuring the ICC prosecutor to obtain arrest warrants for Israeli leaders, according to two Israeli officials.
One possible "punishment" being mulled by the occupation is the halting of tax funds collected by "Israel" for the PA, pushing it to bankruptcy.
A senior Israeli source told Axios that the possibility of ICC arrest warrants is genuine and that if such a situation occurs, the Israeli government will most certainly make an official decision to punish the Palestinian Authority, perhaps leading to its collapse.
Two US officials expressed that the Biden administration told ICC officials privately that it would be a mistake to arrest Israeli leaders, with one official stating, "We are quietly encouraging the ICC not to do it. It will blow up everything. Israel will retaliate against the Palestinian Authority."
