Israeli Media: Attempts to Convince Washington to Sanction Iran
Israeli Channel 13 reports senior Israeli officials as saying that if "Israel" does not take practical steps soon, then Iran will become "immune".
Israeli media reported ongoing Israeli attempts aimed at convincing the United States of imposing harsh, immediate sanctions on Iran.
Israeli Channel 13 relayed the assessments of senior Israeli figures that if "Israel" does not take practical steps (public or confidential) within the next few months, then Iran may become immune to such movements, which will render "Israel" incapable of stopping it from becoming a nuclear power.
The Jerusalem Post also revealed that "Israel" currently has no effective plan against Iranian nuclear facilities, stressing that the entity's strategic conundrum was apparent in Bennett's UN speech.
The US after JCPOA because it has no alternative
Media reports citing anonymous sources also confirmed, days ago, that the US has no alternative if the nuclear talks with Iran were to fail.
In a related context, US State Department Spokesperson Ned Price said that Secretary Antony Blinken stressed continuing diplomacy to ensure a mutual return to the JCPOA and confront "Iran's continuing hostility in the Gulf."
This past period has seen back-and-forth statements regarding the continuation of the Vienna negotiations to revive the 2015 nuclear deal.
Blinken asserted that his country is committed and serious about returning to the nuclear agreement, warning against the talks taking too long. "We are committed to diplomacy, but this process cannot go on indefinitely," he said.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein AmirAbdollahian said on Friday Iran would return to negotiations to resume the 2015 nuclear agreement "very soon".
The Vienna talks were talks held in Vienna, Austria, between Iran and the United States, and with the participation of the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, and China. The talks had stopped at the sixth round.
