Israeli media: Hezbollah is the most dangerous military threat
Former Israeli intelligence chief Amos Yadlin warns that Hezbollah poses the most dangerous military threat to "Israel."
Israeli authorities assess Hezbollah to be the most dangerous military threat to "Israel", Israeli media reported today.
The former chief of Israeli intelligence, Major General Reserve Amos Yadlin, told the Israeli newspaper Maariv, that "deterrence against Hezbollah is at its weakest."
He warned the Israeli public that the third Lebanon war will be much more difficult than the previous wars.
Yadlin stressed that the most dangerous military threat to "Israel" today is Hezbollah.
He pointed out that the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, built a large military force that did not exist back in 2006. Therefore, today Hezbollah has a larger arsenal of long-range point-precise missiles, and it is also trying to undermine Israeli air supremacy through the use of anti-aircraft missile systems, according to Yadlin.
Yadlin cited several examples of "Israel's" deteriorating deterrence capacity, such as not responding to the drones sent to the Karish gas field, the missiles fired at al-Jaleel in northern occupied Palestine, or the militants sent to the borders area recently.

Yadlin speculated that both "Israel" and the Lebanese Resistance do not want to reach a large-scale war because both sides understand that the damage to both Lebanon and "Israel" will be severe.
If in the past Hezbollah's missiles reached the "Hadera" line only [around 75 km from Lebanese borders], in the next war they will reach "Tel Aviv", says Yadlin.
Regarding the agreement to demarcate the maritime borders between Lebanon and occupied Palestine, Yadlin said that the agreement spared "Israel" a possible war, but it won't deter Hezbollah.
Furthermore, he stressed that Hezbollah is taking advantage of the internal Israeli weakness, by strengthening its military force.
