The Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip is still ongoing for the 267th day, with the occupation continuing its intense bombardment of al-Shujaiya neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City. This coincides with ongoing confrontations between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli occupation forces attempting to penetrate the sector.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported a new wave of civilian displacement from al-Shujaiya neighborhood amid ongoing Israeli bombardment. The correspondent also mentioned that occupation forces have detained a large number of women, including elderly women.

In turn, the Israeli occupation's shelling has affected other neighborhoods in Gaza City, targeting a house in the city center, and bombarding the al-Zaytoun and al-Daraj neighborhoods with artillery.

Moreover, Israeli Quadcopter drones fired at several houses on al-Nafaq Street, and the occupation launched air raids on the western areas of the city.

Additionally, in the central Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation bombed a house in al-Maghazi and shelled al-Rashid Street near the Wadi Gaza Bridge, west of al-Nuseirat camp, where Israeli occupation drones also opened fire on displaced and war-stricken Palestinians.

In the southern part of the Strip, Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that occupation tanks fired intensively at refugee tents in the al-Mawasi area, northwest of Rafah, where the occupation forces set fire to the refugee tents.

Yesterday, the Palestinian Resistance also announced confronting a renewed invasion into Gaza City's al-Shujaiya neighborhood, after an attack into the area was launched on June 27.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades have proven their continued presence in the neighborhood by conducting a series of effective operations against invading forces for the second straight day.

In particular, the group had set up several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and minefields, embedded within routes that occupation forces were expected to take when raiding the area.

In an initial operation, announced on Friday morning, the group said that its fighters blew up an Israeli armored vehicle, via an IED planted into the ground at a previous time. Resistance fighters proceeded to engage Israeli infantry forces, who were being escorted by the vehicle, from close range.

The group confirmed that several Israeli occupation troops were either killed or wounded as a result of the operation, which took place in Talat al-Mentar in easter al-Shujaiyah.

The group also fired several mortar rounds at Israeli occupation forces positioned on the axis of advancement into the neighborhood.

In the vicinity of the Tunisian cemetery in the neighborhood, al-Quds Brigades fighters destroyed an Israeli armored vehicle, with another IED that was planted on Baghdad Street.
