The driver was then transferred to an Israeli hospital; while his fate remains unclear, Palestinian reports said he was martyred.
The eyewitness said that the occupation forces closed the checkpoint at the intersection of occupied Al-Quds and Ramallah, and called for more security reinforcements at the incident scene.
In a statement, the Palestinian Resistance Committees saluted the Palestinian diver and praised his heroic act, considering it as "the natural response to the continuous crimes of the Zionist enemy against Palestinians," notably the valiant prisoners.
The statement stressed that the operation displays the adherence of Palestinians to resistance as the only pathway to liberate their land and respond to Israeli aggression.
The committees also called on the "rebellious youth to execute heroic operations in every part of Palestine."
