As part of the ongoing military escalation, an Israeli occupation military convoy advanced from Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi toward the village of al-Asha in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria.
Meanwhile, Syrian media reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted the Palmyra military airport in the countryside of Homs, central Syria.
Israeli media, on the other hand, claimed that the strikes targeted three military sites in the Palmyra desert in the Homs countryside, and local sources indicated that Israeli airstrikes targeted the T-4 military airport east of Homs.
A few days earlier, the Israeli Air Force carried out multiple airstrikes on military bases west of Daraa, killing two civilians and injuring 19 others due to the intense explosions.
'Israel' ramps up aggressions on Syria
Exploiting the instability in Syria, the Israeli occupation has intensified its aggression by targeting Syria's military infrastructure, destroying vital facilities, and seizing an estimated 600 square kilometers of southern Syrian territory.
Israeli occupation forces have bulldozed the Abu Darwish post near the town of al-Nasiriyah in the countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, as an Israeli force consisting of approximately 50 military vehicles advanced into the village of al-Adnaniyah in the same area, local Syrian sources confirmed, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent on March 19.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that the sudden Israeli incursion involved tanks and military bulldozers entering from the western side of the village of al-Asha. The convoy advanced toward the town of al-Rafid, passing through al-Hiran and al-Asbah before reaching the vicinity of Tel al-Mahir.
The observatory added that Israeli forces took control of the al-Hiran military post amid rapidly escalating military movements in the area, triggering tension and apprehension among local residents.
Over the past week, the Israeli Air Force has carried out multiple airstrikes on military sites across various Syrian cities.
On March 17, Israeli warplanes carried out three airstrikes on Syrian military bases in western Daraa, causing explosions in a military camp, according to Syrian news outlets, with reports indicating that the number of Israeli attacks on the Daraa province surpassed 30.
