Today, Wednesday, Al Mayadeen correspondent indicated that in a preemptive attempt to contain all possible scenarios next Sunday, the Occupation Police command has canceled all previously approved vacations for all its members. The Israeli occupation's police also confirmed that it will deploy 3,000 personnel in occupied al-Quds, for fear that the "flags march" will lead to confrontations.
Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that the occupation police will deploy 3,000 personnel in al-Quds and hundreds in al-Ledd and Akka, fearing that the "flags march" in those cities will lead to confrontations.
Last Sunday, Daoud Shehab, the head of the Islamic Jihad's media office, said, "The Palestinian resistance informed all mediators that the "flags march" scheduled for the 29th of this month was a provocative and aggressive act, and it would be responded to."
Shehab confirmed in a talk to Al Mayadeen that "The statements of the leaders of the resistance today, along with the statements of the leaders of the axis, confirm that all forces will be in the battle in the event that Al-Aqsa is attacked."
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, affirmed that "Al-Quds is the eternal capital of Palestine," stressing that the resistance will not accept attempts to change the identity of Al-Aqsa, even if that "fight costs it a daily battle."
For his part, the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that "the resistance is following up on the occupation's threats to storm Al-Aqsa," warning against "doing such crimes."
Previously, on May 19, sources told Al Mayadeen, that a message has been sent to "Israel" by the Palestinian resistance that "it will not allow the 'flags march' to pass as scheduled."
Earlier, on the 18th of May, the Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Omar Bar-Lev, and the commissioner of the occupation police, Kobi Shabtai, had given permission for the "flags march". The march is planned to be held at the end of this month and pass through Bab Al-Amoud in occupied al-Quds.
It is worth mentioning that the Israeli occupation police canceled the "flags march" last year for the first time after the Palestinian resistance launched missiles toward occupied al-Quds.
