"The Palestinian resistance has informed all mediators that the flag march scheduled on the 29th of this month is a provocative and aggressive act, and it will be responded to," said Daoud Shehab, head of the Islamic Jihad's media office.
Shehab confirmed in a talk to Al Mayadeen that "The statements of the leaders of the resistance today, along with the statements of the leaders of the axis, confirm that all forces will be in the battle in the event that Al-Aqsa is attacked."
He pointed out that "the resistance today is more active, which made the Israeli occupation feel its existence is jeopardized on the land of Palestine."
In turn, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, Ziyad Al-Nakhalah, affirmed that "Al-Quds is the eternal capital of Palestine," stressing that the resistance will not accept attempts to change the identity of Al-Aqsa, even if that "fight costs it a daily battle."
For his part, the head of Hamas' political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed that "the resistance is following up on the occupation's threats to storm Al-Aqsa," warning against "doing such crimes."
Shehab: The message from the Freedom Tunnel heroes has arrived
Regarding the prisoners, Shehab confirmed that "the Israeli occupation forces have failed once again against the prisoner Khalil Awawdeh, who entered his 81st consecutive day of hunger strike," noting that "the efforts exerted in Awawdeh's issue are done due to pressure from the resistance."
He went on to say, "The message from the Freedom Tunnel heroes has arrived and revived the West Bank. What Palestine is witnessing today is a result of their heroic work," adding, "The occupation tried to hide its failure by isolating the Freedom Tunnel heroes and attacking the prisoners."
It is worth mentioning that today, Sunday, the Israeli occupation court sentenced the Palestinian prisoners, who participated in the Freedom Tunnel operation, to 5 years and 8 months in prison, in addition to a fine.
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the occupation has sentenced prisoners that aided the Freedom Tunnel prisoners to 4 years in prison and a fine.
