Israeli PM Netanyahu to meet with Macron in Paris on Feb. 2
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to arrive in Paris on Thursday for his first visit to France this year.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on February 2 to discuss Iran's nuclear program and the promotion of the normalization agreements, which aim to normalize relations between "Israel" and Arab countries.
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will depart … on a diplomatic visit to Paris where he will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysee Palace; this is in continuation of their conversation this past Sunday evening," a statement by Netanyahu's office revealed.
According to the statement, the two leaders will address concerns, particularly Iran's nuclear program, as well as steps to enhance and expand the normalization accords.
The Israeli prime minister is also planning to meet with important French businesspeople and representatives of the local Jewish community during his visit to France.
Netanyahu's trip is taking place after an explosion occurred at one of the military enterprises of the Iranian Defense Ministry in the central city of Isfahan on Saturday night. The footage showed that the complex had only suffered minor damages on its roof, while work inside the structure was proceeding normally.
The scenes also showed some parts of the used drones' wreckage after they were shot down by the Iranian air defenses.
The Defense Ministry issued a statement saying one of three Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs) attacking the defense equipment manufacturing complex in Isfahan was downed by a defense system stationed inside the facility.
