Two Palestinians killed, lands seized amid IOF escalation in West Bank
The Israeli occupation and its settlers continue to carry out attacks against Palestinian civilians and their properties in the West Bank, in an ongoing effort to assert control over the land and expand settlements.
On Monday, settlers seized agricultural lands belonging to residents of the town of Idhna, west of the city of al-Khalil in the southern West Bank, after plowing them in preparation to take control, according to a local official.
Jaber Tmeizi, the mayor of Idhna, stated that the settlers plowed hundreds of dunams of the town’s agricultural lands with the support of the Israeli army, which fired tear gas and sound grenades to disperse dozens of Palestinians who attempted to resist them.
Additionally, Israeli authorities issued a military order to uproot trees from lands in two villages west of Ramallah in the West Bank. According to local sources, the order calls for the removal and uprooting of trees from areas in Ras Karkar and Kafr Ni’ma for military purposes, targeting a land area of approximately 15 dunams.
