One Israeli settler was killed and two others were seriously injured in a West Bank shooting operation near the settlement of Bruchin, in Salfit close to Nablus, Israeli media reported on Wednesday evening.
Following the attack, Israeli forces launched a widespread manhunt for the Palestinians who carried out the operation, setting up checkpoints at the entrances to most towns in Salfit Governorate.
As part of the search operation, military reinforcements were deployed across the area, amid incursions into Palestinian villages, road closures, and town entrances shut down.

Escalating armed resistance across West Bank
The occupied West Bank witnessed a significant escalation as Palestinian Resistance factions intensified armed operations against Israeli occupation forces.
The surge coincided with ongoing Israeli military incursions and assaults spreading to towns in both the northern and southern parts of the territory.
In the town of Arraba, southwest of Jenin, Palestinian fighters hurled locally made explosive devices at Israeli military vehicles, while occupation forces launched large quantities of tear gas against Palestinian youths. Heavy helicopter activity was also reported over the western countryside of Jenin during these confrontations.
The al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Brigade, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, confirmed direct confrontations with Israeli infantry forces, stating that they “rained bursts of gunfire down on the forces, resulting in confirmed hits.”
Earlier in the day, the group’s al-Yamoun unit detonated a directed Sijjil explosive device targeting an Israeli Namer armored vehicle, causing confirmed casualties. This was followed by the use of a KJ37 ground explosive device against Israeli infantry units.
Meanwhile, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades carried out a shooting operation targeting the Tayasir training camp and checkpoint east of Tubas in the northern West Bank.

Israeli military incursions, demolitions
Israeli forces intensified their military incursions in several towns, including Arraba, southwest of Jenin, Beit Fajjar, south of Beit Lahm, and Madama, south of Nablus. These operations led to scattered confrontations between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian youths.
In the city of Tulkarm, Israeli bulldozers continued demolition operations around the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque in Nur Shams refugee camp. These demolitions are part of a broader and systematic Israeli policy targeting Palestinian infrastructure and homes across the West Bank.
