Israeli occupation forces have continued their air and artillery strikes on Gaza, even after reports of a unilateral announcement of ceasing offensive action, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent. Witnesses described an escalation in attacks, with Israeli occupation forces targeting civilians, displaced persons, and humanitarian service providers.

Our correspondent confirmed that Israeli jets and artillery have directly pursued humanitarian workers in Gaza City, opening fire on displaced residents after warning them to evacuate and chasing them across multiple locations. Northern districts of Gaza City experienced intense bombardment, while a home in the al-Mushahira area of the Tuffah neighborhood was struck, leaving four Palestinians martyred and several injured.

Additional airstrikes hit al-Sabra Street in the southern Tuffah neighborhood, resulting in multiple casualties, while artillery targeted northern al-Bureij refugee camp and central Khan Younis. Near the Hamad residential area north of Khan Yunis, a child was injured by Israeli gunfire.

This surge in attacks comes amid expectations of negotiations, creating a stark contrast with prior statements reported by Israeli media outlets, which cited political directives instructing the Israeli military command to conduct “defensive operations” only. Despite these instructions, the field situation indicates that occupation forces have continued offensive actions, endangering civilians and humanitarian operations.
