The Israeli occupation targeted several areas to the south of the city of Aleppo in northern Syria, at around 5:20 PM (local time) on Saturday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced.

The aerial aggression was conducted through the Mediterranean, to the west of the country, the ministry added.

Three civilians were killed as a result of the attack which targeted farmland in Aleppo's countryside, while two other civilians were injured.

During the early hours of Saturday morning, Al Mayadeen's sources revealed that an aerial attack targeted areas near the city of al-Bukamal, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria near the border with Iraq, which resulted in the martyrdom of seven people and the injury of others.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned that the aggression targeted the al-Hajana building and Badr Hospital in the southern part of the city.

On its part, the Israeli occupation military said it carried out rocket strikes on Syria after two rockets allegedly fired from Syrian territory fell into territories it occupies, triggering sirens to sound.

Earlier on Friday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates explicitly condemned the constant Israeli attacks on Syria, affirming that they represent "Israel's" intrinsic nature to destroy and kill.

In a letter to United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and the United Nations Security Council, Syria detailed the extensive violations the Israeli occupation is committing in Palestine, saying that in blatant defiance of UN resolutions, advocacy from members of the Security Council, and the global public opinion, "Israel" strikes Syria as an extension to the genocide in Palestine.
