Seven killed in aggression on Syria's al-Bukamal: Al Mayadeen sources
Al Mayadeen's correspondent says the aggression targeted al-Hajana building and Badr Hospital in the southern part of the al-Bukamal city.
Al Mayadeen's sources reported on Saturday that an aerial attack struck near the city of al-Bukamal, in the countryside of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria near the border with Iraq, which resulted in the martyrdom of seven people and the injury of others.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent mentioned that the aggression targeted al-Hajana building and Badr Hospital in the southern part of the city.
On its part, the Israeli occupation military said it carried out rocket strikes on Syria after two rockets allegedly fired from Syrian territory fell into occupied lands, triggering sirens to sound.
A couple of days ago, Syrian air defenses intercepted an Israeli aggression on points south of the capital Damascus, and in the vicinity of the village of al-Hwayya southeast of al-Suwayda.
On Friday, the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates explicitly condemned the constant and insistent Israeli attacks on Syria, affirming that they represent "Israel's" intrinsic habit of killing and destruction, which is being forcibly applied in Palestine.
In a letter to the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and the United Nations Security Council, Syria detailed the extensive violations the Israeli occupation is committing in Palestine, saying that in blatant defiance of UN resolutions, advocacy from members of the Security Council, and the global public opinion, "Israel" strikes Syria as an extension to the genocide in Palestine.
“The new aggressions against Syrian territory and the ongoing threats against Lebanon and other Arab countries in the region reveal the true goals of the Zionist entity, which seeks to expand in the region at the expense of Arab rights in Palestine and other occupied territories”, the statement read.
The letter served to caution the international community of the consequences "Israel" would suffer if its attacks were persistent.
In addition, Syria also requested that the Security Council fulfill its obligations in carrying out the implementation of the principles of the UN Charter and international law, the ministry mentioned.
“The Security Council and the countries that cover Israeli aggression must learn from the experiences of the people when they make their decisions to defend their sovereignty, their rights, and the lives of their citizens,” the Ministry concluded.
Syria on Thursday asked the Secretary General of the United Nations and the President of the UN Security Council to take action to put an end to the hostile policies of the Israeli occupation, which might lead to a regional escalation that would threaten regional and international peace.
