Israeli forces opened fire on civilians in the southern Lebanese municipality of Aadaysit Marjaayoun on Monday, leaving one person martyred and several others injured, according to a Lebanese paramedic who spoke to RIA Novosti.
"The Israeli military fired automatic weapons at the Lebanese people at the entrance to the town of Aadaysi, killing one person and injuring four, some of them seriously," the paramedic source confirmed.
Separate attacks were reported on the same day. In the municipality of Houla, Israeli shelling left another civilian injured, while eyewitnesses in the border village of Dhayra reported that Israeli troops targeted civilians attending a funeral procession.
The Israeli occupation has killed two people in South Lebanon and injured seven more on Monday so far.
The ceasefire agreement, brokered by international mediators, included provisions for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Southern Lebanon and the relocation of Hezbollah fighters north of the Litani River.
However, the deal's implementation has faced significant hurdles, as reports suggest continued Israeli presence and violence against Lebanese civilians attempting to return to their homes.
For the second consecutive day, residents of Southern Lebanon, supported by the Lebanese Armed Forces, have braved Israeli aggression to reclaim their villages and towns.

Since the expiration of the last ceasefire deadline, Israeli military actions have reportedly resulted in at least 24 civilian deaths and more than 120 injuries. Monday's violence alone claimed two lives and left seven injured. Lebanese officials have accused "Israel" of deliberately targeting unarmed civilians.
Earlier in the day, the White House announced that the ceasefire would be extended until February 18, 2025.
