Israeli warplanes strike Beirut's southern suburb overnight
Multiple Israeli air strikes targeted residential buildings in the southern suburb of Lebanon's capital.
Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the Southern Suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, early on Thursday.
The strike targeted residential buildings in Chiyah, Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, and Ghobeireh.
At least two of the airstrikes involved the launching of bombs with heavy payloads, which resulted in deafening explosions upon impact. Smoke billowed from several sites in the residential area, following the raids, which were conducted hours apart.
Latest toll of Israeli aggression
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the number of people martyred in the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, since October last year, has risen to 3,365 while 14,344 others were injured.
On Wednesday alone, 78 people were martyred and another 122 were injured after Israeli warplanes struck residential areas across Lebanese territory.
A preliminary tally of the Israeli airstrike that targeted Dohat Aramoun on Wednesday dawn, 8 people were martyred, including 3 children and 3 women, while 17 others were injured.
As for the massacre committed by the occupation in the town of Joun, in the Chouf district, 20 people were martyred, including 8 children and 8 women, while 12 others were injured.
In Baalchmay in the Baabda district, 8 people were martyred, including 2 children and 2 women, while five other people were injured.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health also announced two other incomplete tolls. The first detailed the casualties of a massacre in Ras al-Ain in South Lebanon, last Saturday, where 20 martyrs and 19 injured were reported. The second toll detailed the number of casualties from a massacre in Aalmat in the Jbeil district, last Sunday, which resulted in 25 martyrs, including 9 women and 7 children, while 19 others were injured.
As for the ongoing Israeli onslaughts on various areas in Lebanon, the occupation launched an airstrike targeting the Burj al-Barajneh area in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, after having previously targeted Chiyah, Ghobeiri, and Haret Hreik.
In the south, Israeli warplanes targeted the following towns, al-Dhayra, Shaqra, Shebaa, Qabrikha, Ter Harfa, Bint Jbeil, Shamaa, Alma al-Shaab, Majdal Zoun, Sultaneya, Tebnine, Ainata, Yater, Sidiqin, Qana, Hanawiya, Srifa, al-Qleila, Deir Qanun al-Nahr, Burj Qalaouiyeh, Bazouriyeh, Sawana, Jmaijmeh, Kfar Remen, Barachit, Majdel Selm, and Ain el Mezrab.
Additionally, Israeli drones carried out airstrikes on both Yuhmor al-Shaqif and al-Chaaitiyeh. As for artillery shelling, the occupation targeted Beit Yahoun, Kunin, Ter Harfa, and Yater, while cluster munitions were used to target the riverbed of Nahr Bilat, leading to Dibine.
In the Bekaa, the occupation carried out an airstrike on both Suhmor and al-Bazaliyeh.
