Israeli deterrence has been somewhat damaged, the former head of the Israeli occupation forces Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman), Amos Yadlin, said on Sunday.

The head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, and the deputy chief of the Resistance movement's politburo, Saleh Al-Arouri, "are, in fact, the engines that drove the operations we saw over the past year in the West Bank and Al-Quds, as well as the firing of rockets from Lebanon and Gaza," the former Israeli security official claimed.

"If you hit the engines, the car will stop," Yadlin said. "Israeli deterrence has somewhat been damaged, and our enemies interpreted as fear the Israeli army's moderate response to the rockets that were fired from Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza."

The Israeli occupation's military Intelligence Directorate's Research Division warned that over the past several months, "Israel" has seen its overall strategic situation worsen, Israel Hayom exclusively reported earlier in the month.

According to the newspaper, the warning was sent in a recent memo to the top brass and the key decision-makers in the Israeli occupation, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Security Minister Yoav Gallant

Former Aman chief says 'Israel' far from achieving goals in Gaza

Israeli occupation president Isaac Herzog said earlier in the day that "Israel's" enemies were "celebrating this internal dispute and tried to challenge us on several fronts during Passover."

The security situation in "Israel" today is the most dangerous since the end of the "Yom Kippur War", i.e., the October Liberation War 1973, said Former Chief of General Staff of the Israeli occupation forces Gadi Eizenkot on Saturday, as quoted by Israeli media.

Eizenkot told the Israeli Channel 12 broadcaster that a precedent took place in the Israeli occupation; something that has not happened since the so-called declaration of the Israeli occupation, with the Intelligence Division issuing a strategic warning stating that "Israeli deterrence in the area has been damaged."

This comes after Israeli security minister Yoav Gallant warned of a strategic change in the type of external threats facing the occupation that would change from single-front limited conflicts and would rather be on multi-front large-scale escalations, according to a report by The Times of Israel.

"This is the end of the era of limited conflicts," Gallant told reporters in a briefing. "We are facing a new security era in which there may be a real threat to all arenas at the same time".

Moreover, former Israeli Security Minister Avigdor Lieberman sent messages of pessimism throughout the Israeli occupation earlier in April, saying: "A multi-front confrontation is inevitable, and as a matter of fact, Nasrallah's statements indicate a pivot in that direction."

"He (Netanyahu) has nearly fully destroyed Israeli deterrence," Lieberman underlined.

"Today, the situation today is worse than it was before the Yum Kippur war (1973 October war), and the problem is, no one here can manage the crisis," he concluded.
