Jordan calls for emergency regional meeting over Israeli attacks
Jordan says it will continue to exert strained efforts to put an end to Israeli violations.
Jordan called for an emergency meeting of a regional committee over the "flagrant violation of international humanitarian law,” in light of the recent Israeli occupation storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that Jordan will continue to exert strained efforts to put an end to Israeli violations.
The ministry added that Jordan in coordination with Palestine and Egypt urges everyone to take necessary steps and procedures to stop this dangerous Israeli escalation.
It also warned of the repercussions of a such dangerous escalation, holding "Israel" responsible for threatening peace and security in the region.
This comes after Israeli occupation forces raided Wednesday dawn Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Al-Quds and assaulted the Palestinians who were stationed there as part of the religious practice of Itikaf, which is one of the acts of worship during the holy month of Ramadan.
Last night, the Israeli occupation stormed #AlAqsa Mosque, one of the holiest sites in #Islam, and mercilessly assaulted worshippers. Illegal Israeli settlers later stormed the mosque after the IOF forcibly expelled all the #Palestinian worshipers.

due to the brutal Israeli attack, dozens of Palestinians were injured amid calls to confront the aggression.
Israeli forces fired bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinians, not even sparing women, brutally assaulting them with batons and guns.
Arab countries strongly condemn Al-Aqsa storming
In the same context, several other Arab countries condemned the Israeli police storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and attacking worshippers.
In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said Saudi Arabia was following with concern the developments at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom condemns this blatant incursion and expresses its categorical rejection of these practices that violate international principles and norms that call for respect of religious sanctities.
Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its position in supporting all efforts aimed at ending the Israeli occupation and reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry considered that such hateful and reprehensible scenes, and repeated Israeli violations of the sanctity of the holy places, stir feelings of anger among all the Palestinian people and the Islamic nation.
Similarly, Jordan strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and called on the Israeli occupation to stop such acts against worshippers, which it said violate international norms, holding the occupation fully responsible for any consequences.
