Following the abuse that five Palestinian women in Al-Khalil in Occupied Palestine's West Bank had to endure, being forced by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) to take off their clothing, a number of Jordanian MPs urged the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador from Amman.

The 59 members of the House of Representatives said, in a statement on Thursday, that the development “reflects the extent of the moral decadence that the Israeli occupation army and its regime have reached as a result of the deafening silence of the United Nations and international organizations.”

The 130-seat assembly's lawmakers supported the demand to expel the Israeli envoy and urged senior officials to publish comments denouncing and rejecting Israeli conduct.

IOF forcing Palestinian women to undress sparks outrage

Palestinian sources, on September 5, reported that the IOF forced Palestinian women to strip naked when their home was raided in Al-Khalil.

Early on July 10, Israeli soldiers raided the Al-Ajlouni family's home and forced five women from the family to undress.

One of the women had no choice but to undress in front of her three young children, as the IOF menacingly warned them that a police dog would be set upon them if they refused to obey their commands.

As reported by Israeli sources, the IOF soldiers did not have cameras on them, and even though the dog had a camera, it was not in operation during that period.

The appalling incident triggered anger and condemnation among Palestinians, leading Palestinian factions to issue threats of retaliation.

In occupied Al-Khalil, residents called for demonstrations within the city, and individuals expressed their condemnation of the dreadful act on social media.

After the incident occurred, Hamas issued a press release condemning the IOF for its actions, saying that the harassment of Palestinian women inside their homes was clear proof of the regime's blatant disrespect of international law.

According to the statement, the Israeli occupation displays a lack of accountability for its actions in contravention of international laws safeguarding individuals under occupation, all the while, the international community continues to overlook the ongoing Israeli transgressions.
