In its Weekly Overview of Key Events and Data (June 24 to June 30), the Israeli Alma Research & Education Center reported that in June 2024, there were 288 attacks by Hezbollah on the northern arena, averaging 9.6 attacks per day.

This is a slight decrease from May 2024, which saw 320 attacks, averaging 10 per day, as per the report.

Midway through June, the intensity of Hezbollah’s attacks increased significantly due to the assassination of Taleb Sami Abdallah (Abu Taleb), the Nasser unit commander on the southern front, on June 11, as per the report.

It added that Hezbollah's retaliatory attacks lasted three days, during which the number of attacks surged. However, beginning on June 15, with the onset of Eid al-Adha, Hezbollah reduced its attack frequency, maintaining a lower intensity compared to the first half of the month.

June 2024: Third most intense month for Hezbollah attacks

Furthermore, Alma Research & Education Center reported that the total monthly data for June 2024, including the number of attacks and daily averages, closely aligns with the figures from May 2024.

May had previously been the most intense month for Hezbollah attacks against "Israel" since October 2023. June 2024 ranks as the third most intense month, with December 2023 coming in second, recording 301 attacks and an average of 9.7 attacks per day, the report stressed.

In June 2024, the report added that high-trajectory fire remained the most frequently used weapon, continuing a trend from previous months.

The report detailed that there were 144 instances of high-trajectory fire this month, slightly up from 139 in May 2024. Additionally, six attacks involved anti-aircraft weapons, including the shooting down of an Israeli Hermes-900 UAV on June 10.

Since the confrontations began on October 8, 2023, there have been a total of 2,295 attacks on the territories occupied by the Israeli occupation whether in southern Lebanon or northern Palestine, predominantly carried out by Hezbollah, as per the report.

It is worth noting that Hezbollah has reiterated on several occasions that it will continue its attacks against Israeli targets until the genocide against Palestinians in Gaza stops.
