Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Wednesday morning that a massive barrage of rockets was fired on the northern region, stressing that "the rocket barrages that were fired from Lebanon are the largest in terms of rocket type and number since the beginning of the war."

Simultaneously, Israeli media reported that Hezbollah fired a massive 160-rocket barrage at northern "Israel" and launched a direct attack on Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, a military research and development company. Following the attack, towns within 10 kilometers of the Lebanese border were directed to take shelter and remain indoors, as per Israeli media.

Our correspondent added that the massive rocket barrage, which he said well exceeded the 100 being reported by Israeli media, targeted Israeli settlements and continued for 10 minutes straight.

Meanwhile, Israeli media acknowledged that the rocket fire originating from Lebanon, directed towards northern settlements, was the largest in terms of both rocket type and quantity since the onset of the war.

Reports also emerged of a direct hit on a building in Sa'sa', located in the upper al-Jalil region.

Rockets spark fires in North

It has also been reported that fires were ignited due to rockets from Lebanon, with power blackouts being reported in a number of settlements in the North due to the Lebanese Resistance's rocket fire.

Israeli media described the attack as one of Hezbollah's largest barrages during the war, noting that the city of Tabarayya was targeted for the first time during the barrage.

Sirens sounded in Safad, Rosh Pina, and Tabarayya, along with numerous other towns in the al-Jalil region, as per the reports.

In a related development, Israeli media reported that additional rounds of sirens were activated in several settler communities in northern "Israel". Alerts were triggered in the Mount Meron area of the Upper al-Jalil.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon confirmed this, stating that  "Israel's" Meron base for air surveillance was one of the targets of the second rocket salvo launched from Lebanon.
