Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq warn US of direct confrontation
Senior security official Abu Ali Al-Askari says US troops will receive a strong blow if they attack the Iraqi resistance as they did in Syria.
Kataib Hezbollah in Iraq, also known as the Hezbollah Brigades, warned the US forces in Iraq of "direct confrontation" and stressed that its brigades will deliver a strong blow if they attack them as they attacked auxiliary forces in Syria.
The movement's senior security official Abu Ali Al-Askari said, “We reiterate once again that the brigades will directly target US bases across the region in case the US enemy commits a folly and decides to strike our resistance fighters and their camps [in Iraq].”
Tehran warns US of 'swift' response to attacks on Iran bases in Syria
Tehran warned on Saturday that it will respond quickly and decisively to any attack carried out by the United States targeted on any of its legitimate bases in Syria.
The spokesperson of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Kayvan Khosravi, said that "any pretext for attacking the bases created at the request of the Syrian government to fight with terrorism and ISIL operatives in that country will be immediately met with a reciprocal response."
Khosravi stressed that countries occupied by the US have a legal and natural right to confront its forces, and Washington cannot blame these acts on third countries through lies and fabrications.
"Iran has suffered a lot in the battle against foreign-backed terrorism to reestablish durable security in Syria, and it opposes any action that endangers the stability of that country," the Iranian official said.
"The United States role in creating and supporting ISIL as a proxy in line with its political objectives in Syria and Iraq is evident to everyone, and in the past two days, American helicopters with several sorties have transferred ISIL terrorists in Syria with the aim of increasing instability in the country, something that they have to be held to account for," he added.
Syria slams US occupation's 'brutal attack' on areas in Deir Ezzor
Syria slammed on Saturday the savage aggression carried out by the US occupation forces on several areas in Deir Ezzor Governorate that resulted in the killing of a number of people, the wounding of others, and material damage.
“Syria condemns the brutal attack launched by US forces against some areas in Deir Ezzor Governorate, which caused several fatalities, injuries, and property damage,” the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The US' false claims about the attacked sites are nothing but lies in an attempt to justify its heinous aggression, which is a blatant breach of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Ministry added.
The statement considered that these violent attacks aim to smokescreen the US occupation's continued looting of Syria's resources, on top of which is oil, and are an extension to the aggressions carried out by the Israeli occupation and ISIS terrorist groups against the country and its people.
Syria is committed to ending the US occupation of parts of the country and to liberating all its lands from Americans and their proxies and militias, the foreign ministry added.
