Kataib Hezbollah: Security Media story on Balad Air Base targeting ridiculous
Kataib Hezbollah punches holes in Security Media's story on the targeting of the Balad air base.
Iraqi Kataib Hezbollah [Hezbollah Brigades] said on Saturday that the Security Media cell's story on the targeting of the Balad base is ridiculous and has many inaccuracies.
The movement clarified that the offensive UAV used in Iraq cannot change course and does not have a Return To Home (RTH) feature (one-time use).

The Hezbollah Brigades' Security Official, Abou Ali Al-Askari noted that reconnaissance drones used in Iraq do not need to be close to their target. In fact, they mostly operate so far as to not be seen with the naked eye, adding that these drones do not even have the capability to escape (like the security media said they did).
Iraq's Security Media cell had announced earlier today that three UAVs came close this morning to the southern perimeter of the Balad airbase in the Salah al-Din Governorate.
The cell also said that these drones were spotted with the naked eye by sentries posted to the outer walls, who identified them as enemy aircraft and opened fire on them.
Al Mayadeen's Iraq correspondent had reported that gunfire was heard in the perimeter of the Balad airbase south of Salah al-Din.
