During the demonstration, hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters raised Palestinian flags, voicing support to the plight of Palestinians and chanting anti-normalization slogans.
The protesters considered the visit a disgrace on the forehead of the Moroccan regime and a betrayal of the martyrs’ blood and the Palestinian people.
It is worth noting that the popular Moroccan demonstration held the slogan "Killer Gantz Not Welcome."
President of Algeria's Council of the Nation responds to Gantz's visit
President of Algeria's Council of the Nation Salah Goudjil confirmed Thursday that Gantz's visit to Morocco targets Algeria directly.
In a speech after the Council approved the 2022 Finance Law, Goudjil warned that "the enemies" are extensively mobilizing to obstruct and target Algeria.
He added that "Israel" threatened Algeria from a neighboring country as Morocco with no reaction whatsoever from the Moroccan government.
Gantz visits Rabat
Israeli occupation Security Minister Benny Gantz and Morocco's Minister in charge of defense administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, signed Wednesday a memorandum of understanding on security cooperation between the two sides.
During his visit to Rabat, Gantz said the signed memorandum paves the way for military sales and cooperation between "Israel" and Morocco after the two upgraded their diplomatic relations last year.
A source familiar with the "memorandum of understanding" said that it does not include specific "defense" agreements, but it does provide a "legal and regulatory" framework for holding such agreements in the future.
In the same context, Israeli media mentioned that Gantz visited the mausoleum of the King of Morocco Mohammed V in the capital, Rabat.
Morocco, "Israel", and the US signed a tripartite agreement on December 23, 2020, which included several memoranda of understanding to establish relations between Morocco and the Israeli occupation under Washington's sponsorship.
