Knesset members question gap between military objectives, actions
Israeli Knesset members who have been informed of the IOF's plans have raised questions regarding the viability of the previously stated objectives regarding the aggression on Gaza.

The Israeli military command has made several statements that come in stark contrast to its actions, Israeli Channel 13 reported.
A host for the Israeli television channel said that despite the "firm statements" and the Israeli occupation forces' stated objectives, some members of the Knesset have expressed their concern regarding the Israeli military actual plans.
Channel 13's Knesset correspondent, Lior Kenan, said Netanyahu's coalition members are unconvinced that the current military options, which the Israeli occupation forces might undertake, align with the previously announced objectives, such as uprooting the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza.
She added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "is known to be very cautious in decisions and missions of this nature, and some say he has sometimes been overly cautious."
The correspondent also highlighted previous remarks made by Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant who said the military aggression against Gaza might take up to 3 months or continue for years.
Kenan said Gallant's statement could be seen as a backup plan in case the IOF fail to achieve their objective. If questioned about the failure of the Israeli military campaign, Gallant would simply reply that he already mentioned that it would take a long time to achieve the stated goals, according to Channel 13's Knesset correspondent.

US in control of Israeli decision-making process
Concurrently, Israeli officials and politicians are raising their voices against what they believe is an American monopoly over "Israel's decisions".
Former deputy chief of staff of Israeli occupation forces, Yair Golan, told Channel 12 that the United States has taken over "Israel's" decision-making power in the field of security.
"The right to open another front" is no longer ours, Golan told a Channel 12 anchor.
The former official and current Reserve Major General said US President Joe Biden and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken "came to Israel and sent two fighting groups not to request [that Israel opens another front] but to impose on Israel" not to open extra fronts.
Blinken recently said that the US does not want to see a second or third front be opened up as he addressed wide-ranging events in which Israeli and American assets in the Middle East were targeted by the Resistance faction in response to the continued aggression against Gaza.
However, Blinken did say that the US will respond if its personnel do come under the line of fire.
Nonetheless, Golan said that the US official's statements clearly indicate that "Israel" has lost agency over "independent decisions".
Moreover, former Israeli foreign affairs and security official Zvi Hauser told Channel 12 that "Israel" has lost the ability to independently "defend itself", as he responded to a question on the US involvement in "Tel Aviv" security decision-making.
