BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Our supporters make up more than half of Lebanon's population, and all of these people are united under the banner of protecting Lebanon, its Resistance, its people, and its integrity.
Sheikh Qassem: There will be no phased handing in of our arms. [The Israelis] must first enact the agreement before we start talking about a defensive strategy.
Sheikh Qassem: Be brave in the face of foreign pressures, and we will be by your side in this stance.
Sheikh Qassem: Stripping us of our arms is like stripping us of our very soul, and this will prompt us to show them our might.
Sheikh Qassem: We will not abandon our arms, for they gave us dignity; we will not abandon our arms, for they protect us against our enemy.
Sheikh Qassem: The US efforts we are seeing are aimed at sabotaging Lebanon and constitute a call for sedition.
Sheikh Qassem: If you truly want to establish sovereignty and work for Lebanon’s interests, then stop the aggression.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States, which is meddling in Lebanon, is not trustworthy but rather poses a danger to it.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States is preventing the weapons that protect the homeland.
Sheikh Qassem: The government’s latest decision [on the disarmament of the Resistance] is non-charter-based, and if the government continues down this path, it is not faithful to Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Reactions to the Erbil conference continue

The Kurdistan Islamic Union announced that it categorically rejects all calls for normalization.

In a statement, the Executive Council of the Union stressed that the conference aims to equate the executioner and the victim and to provide a pretext to those lurking with ill intentions toward the region. It also considered that the conference is a conspiratorial scheme targeting the Iraqi Kurdistan region and a desperate attempt to drive a wedge between the peoples of the region.

The al-Hardan tribe fully supports the Palestinian cause

The al-Hardan tribe announced that it has no knowledge of the proceedings of the conference held in Erbil and has nothing to do with the statements issued in favor of normalization.

The tribe stressed in a press conference that the statements of Wissam al-Hardan represent his personal opinion and do not represent the Sahwa Movement (Awakening Movement) of Iraq, his family, or the al-Hardan clan, stressing support for the Palestinian cause.

Earlier, the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq announced that the al-Karkh First Investigation Court issued arrests warrants against Wissam al-Hardan and several others for their role in calling for normalization with "Israel”.

The media center added that legal measures will also be taken against the rest of the participants, once their full names are known.

Moreover, the al-Anbar Investigation Court issued an arrest warrant against al-Hardan and others, based on a complaint submitted by the Governor of al-Anbar.

Reactions to the Erbil conference continue

Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah described the meeting and normalization attempts as a trend supported by the UAE and Saudi Arabia, adding that northern Iraq has turned into a safe haven for collaborators and conspirators against the state and a hotbed for the activities of hostile US-Zionist organizations and intelligence.

Several political forces denounced the meeting, including the Iraqi government, which expressed its categorical rejection of the illegal meetings held by some tribal figures residing in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region in which they raise the slogan of normalization with "Israel".

The Presidency of Iraq's Kurdistan Region revealed that it had no knowledge of the meeting and that its outcomes do not express the opinion, policy, or position of the Kurdistan Region. The Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan government announced that the meeting was held without the knowledge, approval, and participation of the regional government, stressing that it does not, in any way, reflect the government's position.
