The Israeli occupation's opposition leader, Yair Lapid, said on Monday, "This government does not know how to manage a war, and it is pushing us into a deep economic crisis that hurts every citizen’s pocket and has landed us in The Hague."

According to Lapid, "This government is not fit to manage the war, and [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is not fit to run the country," urging "change now" as "there is no possibility of waiting any longer."

This is not the first time that Lapid has criticized Netanyahu's management of the internal Israeli situation and the war on Gaza, as on January 8, almost a week ago, Israeli media reported a similar incident.

According to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Lapid slammed Netanyahu for not being qualified to lead the occupation entity, calling on "National Unity" MKs to leave the emergency government.

During a meeting for his Yesh Atid party, Lapid called on Benny Gantz, Gadi Eisenkot, and Gideon Sa’ar to exit the government, stating that “this government is unfit to lead the war” and that “Netanyahu is unfit to lead the country.”

Meanwhile, Lapid revealed three names his party sees fit to fill the Prime Minister position, including a member of Netanyahu's Likud party, Yuli Edelstein, alongside either Gantz or Eisenkot.

Netanyahu to Blinken: This is not only our war, this is also your war

Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last Saturday that no one would stop "Israel' from pursuing the war on Gaza, in which nearly 23,900 Palestinians have been killed as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression.

"No one will stop us -- not The Hague, not the Axis of Evil and no one else. It is possible and necessary to continue until victory and we will do it," Netanyahu told a televised press conference as the war in Gaza moves into its 100th day on Sunday.

He was referring to a case brought by South Africa before the UN's top court, the International Court of Justice in The Hague, accusing "Israel" of breaching the UN Genocide Convention.

Netanyahu revealed that he told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in "Tel Aviv" earlier last week, "This is not only our war, this is also your war."

The meeting between Blinken and Netanyahu was reportedly tense, as Israeli Channel 12 reported a widening gap in the outlook on the ongoing genocide between the US and the Israelis, with Washington allegedly "running out of patience," despite it supplying the ongoing genocide with munitions and bombs.

The mounting differences have prompted Prime Minister Netanyahu to opt out of appearing alongside Secretary Blinken at their press conference, as highlighted by Channel 12.
