Lavrov: Any arms shipments arriving in Ukraine will be a Russian target
The Russian FM stresses the necessity of discussing the situation on biological laboratories in Ukraine within the UN Security Council.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed, on Friday, that Ukraine's involvement in the Pentagon project of biological laboratories will be discussed.
Lavrov talked in an exclusive interview with Russia Today about the latest developments in the situation in Ukraine and said that the Russian Armed Forces were able to access secret documents about the activity of US biological laboratories in Ukraine, insisting on discussing the alarming situation in a UN Security Council session.
Yesterday, Russia demanded that Ukraine and the United States provide data on military biological activity in laboratories in Ukraine.
"We have found evidence that Ukraine is preparing for an all-out attack on the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk after it failed to implement the Minsk agreements," he added.
Lavrov also threatened that any arms shipments arriving in Ukraine from abroad would be considered a military target for Russia. As for imposing a no-fly zone in Ukraine, he said, "Kiev understands that Biden will not allow a no-fly zone over Ukraine."
Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, confirmed today that evidence of crimes by Ukrainian extremists in Mariupol is hidden.
The Western approach has reached its climax
Regarding Western behavior, Lavrov stressed that what is happening in Ukraine indicates that the Western approach aimed at marginalizing Russia has reached its climax.
He also noted that Europe has almost completely stopped defending its independence against the United States, adding that the United States is seeking to return the world to a unipolar model.
Russia warned the United States yesterday that Moscow has the ability to stop the world's preeminent superpower on its own, accusing the West of fueling an unruly hostile conspiracy with the aim of tearing Russia apart.
'We will withstand sanctions'
Regarding Western sanctions against Russia, Lavrov said that the sanctions are currently unprecedented, but Russia will persevere and adapt to the new reality, contradicting what the Westerners believe about Russia's dependence on the west, describing them as "completely destructive."
Several countries imposed new sanctions on people and entities in Russia yesterday, including Japan, Australia, and the Netherlands, against the backdrop of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
