The Lebanese Foreign Ministry has announced its intention to file a complaint with the UN Security Council over Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon that took place this Friday morning.

The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, “The deliberate Israeli aggression and bombardment that took place this morning on areas in southern Lebanon is a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and a breach of resolution 1701 of the UN Security Council, and threatens the peace experienced in Southern Lebanon.”

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Lebanon reported that an explosion sounded off south of the city of Tyre after the IOF targeted the area of Qlaileh located between Ras El Ain and the Rashidieh refugee camp.

“Israel’s” attack on Lebanon comes after 34 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory into occupied areas in North Palestine.

The firing of rockets comes in the context of Israeli forces storming the Al-Aqsa Mosque, beating Palestinian worshippers, and forcibly removing them from the Mosque for two consecutive days.

The Secretary General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah previously reminded “Israel” that, “The Resistance in Lebanon stands by its word, and any Israeli attacks on Lebanon, regardless of the location or figure, Lebanese or foreign, will be met with a swift and decisive response from the resistance, and this must be understood."

No fatalities were reported as a result of the Israeli aggression.
