Rockets fired from south Lebanon toward Al-Jalil: Israeli media
Israeli media reported that the final barrage of rockets fired from southern Lebanon toward "Israel" caused panic among illegal Israeli settlers.
Israeli media reported that several rockets were fired from southern Lebanon on Thursday afternoon with at least two rockets landing in an Israeli settlement, north of occupied Palestine.
Security sources confirmed to Al Mayadeen that around 15 rockets were launched from three different areas in Lebanon.
The same sources added that the Israeli occupation forces fired about 20 rockets toward Lebanon, adding that calm prevails now in Southern Lebanon.
Israeli media further reported the final barrage of rockets from southern Lebanon toward "Israel" caused panic among illegal Israeli settlers.
"The Israeli security establishment cannot confirm whether Hezbollah knew or turned a blind eye to the firing of rockets from Lebanon," as per Israeli reports.
In further detail, Israeli media said security estimates reveal that this is a Palestinian retaliation to the attacks and assaults on worshippers in Al-Aqsa, in occupied Al-Quds, and it could be in coordination with Hezbollah.
However, Reuters, citing three security sources, reported that Palestinian factions, not Hezbollah, were behind the rocket attacks from Lebanon toward occupied Palestine.
Israeli media also reported that the airspace in northern "Israel" has been closed down, adding that an Israeli settler man was lightly wounded by shrapnel amid a rocket attack from Lebanon.
Israeli Kan TV acknowledged that this kind of missile attack on western Al-Jalil has not been witnessed since the July 2006 war, adding that “Netanyahu will conduct a situation assessment with the heads of the security establishment.”
In the aftermath of the rocket attacks, Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine (PIJ) blessed what it called a strong response to the Israeli crimes and aggressions, stressing that "the Resistance factions stand together unified in the face of the Zionist enemy."
Popular Resistance Committees also hailed the attack, stating that the Unity of the Battlefields is manifested clearly in today's response to the atrocities of the Israeli enemy.
This comes as Israeli occupation forces stormed and desecrated the Al-Aqsa mosque, protecting the Israeli settlers' incursions for the second consecutive day.
On Thursday morning, a group of settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque, heavily protected by the occupation forces.
In parallel, the IOF launched airstrikes, allegedly targeting Resistance positions west of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli helicopters also targeted several positions in the center of the Strip.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza, "The Resistance fired several rockets toward the Gaza envelope settlements," adding that the rockets have triggered "the sirens to sound."
The IOF warships also fired "sonic shells at the Beit Lahia coast north of the Strip."
